Spicy marinated red bed

It is best to marinate the beet beforehand! Because in a delicious marinade, the taste of the beet can really develop.

  • 500 ml apple cider vinegar
  • 350 ml water
  • 200 g sugar
  • 25 g salt
  • 1 tablespoon coriander seeds
  • 1 tsp ginger chopped
  • 1 strip of lemon peel
  • 1 tsp white pepper corns
  • 1 kg beet


Bring all ingredients except the beet to the boil and leave to infuse for 1 hour.

Wash the beet and cut the leaves from the stems.


South again bring to a boil, strain over the raw beets, add the raw red beds and cook over medium-high heat.

Depending on how thick the tubers are, the vegetables need to cook between 30 and 35 minutes.

As soon as the tubers can be easily pierced with the tip of a knife,

drain the beet.

Beet peel and cut corners or the favorite shape, they have a choice.

The beauty of beet is that it does not necessarily have to be eaten warm. It also tastes good cold as an antipasti with a piece of baguette or a dip.
